The 5th Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations that we conducted on behalf of our 1,450 members at DHL Logistics Services Inc. resulted in an agreement.
With the 5th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement covering the period of January 01, 2022-December 31, 2023, a net raise of 45 percent for the first year wages including bonuses and social benefits was won; generally a raise was obtained at rates ranging from 63 percent to 95 percent. Significant increases were achieved in bonuses and other social rights.
We informed our members about the meetings at every stage of the 5th Term CBA negotiations that we conducted on behalf of our members at DHL. We organize the process from the preparation of the CBA draft to its signing together with our members.
Due to the inability to reach an agreement on wage increases, we concluded the final stage with the approval of the vast majority of our members, as in every stage of collective bargaining negotiations, which reached the mediator stage. In the meetings that we held with our members, we evaluated the employer’s final offer together during the contract negotiations and it was decided to sign the collective agreement with the approval of our members.
After the completion of the general member meetings held at the workplaces, we signed the 5th CBA at DHL Logistics Services Inc. on 23 February 2022.
75% wage raise
With the CBA, which was concluded with success, the first-year wages increased by 63 percent to 95 percent. The second year wages will be increased at the rate of increase in inflation. However, if the minimum wage increase rate is higher than the inflation increase rate, the second year wages will be increased by the minimum wage increase rate. In case of an interim increase in the minimum wage while the contract is in effect, the wage differences between the new minimum wage and the wages of the employees will be preserved.

We call on transport workers to unite in our union
Despite the unfair competition of the non-union logistics and cargo companies, which makes their workers to work 10-12 hours a day for low wages, without even paying overtime, and despite the pressure they have created on the workplaces in which we are organized, we have signed a successful CBA without any loss of rights for our members.
We hope that the Collective Bargaining Agreement will be beneficial to all our members.
Our union will continue to fight to protect and develop the rights and interests of cargo, logistics and transportation workers. We call on all cargo, logistics and transportation workers, who work in precarious and non-unionized conditions and who are not yet organized, to unite in our union.
We respectfully inform the public. (24.02.2022)
